In my previous post in “their influence in SEO, I touched on the importance of Title Tags in search engine optimisation. Today I will be discussing Meta Descriptions within each page.

1) Title Tags
2) Meta descriptions
3) Optimised page content
4) Incoming links
5) User friendly URL’s (no session ID’s)

The importance of meta descriptions in a web page is not important if the page’s content is optimised correctly but it is always good practice to ensure that the keywords in the meta description correspond with the page’s title tag. (more…)

The mobile marketing phenomenon

In the last few months the world has seen companies scrambling for their own .mobi domain name, their own slice of the mobile phenomena. Essentially what mobile marketing means is to target an audience via their cell phone. The big question is who is using their cell phone to search for business products/services? Not many I dare say. How to implement Title Tags to target your potential customers

No matter what industry you are in Title Tags are important to get noticed by search engines. They categorize your website on what title tags you have inserted in your web page. So for example, if you have a real estate website, then using words like ‘property for sale’ would be a good choice. Then going one step further you would insert the demographic location of your sales area e.g. ‘Claremont property for sale’. Can you see how search engines like Google will categorize this? (more…)
