		<description>Thanks for the insight Neil.

I often wonder why some community websites don't allow commentators to add links back to their own websites. It's quite frustrating at times, especially when you're a big fan of the site and are doing your bit to add value to it. Now I know to lookout for the "nofollow" rule.

On a side note, you mention towards the beginning that receiving a link into your page from a page that has quality links going into it "will prevent the page from losing serps after 4-7 days" - what are these "serps" you speak of?

&lt;em&gt;
Hi Kosta
Regarding your question on serps... A serp is an acronym for 'Search Engine Results Page', maybe I should use it in upper case next time. It's SEO standard just to use it in lower case in the forums and that has rubbed off into my post... So going back to your insert from my post, if there are no incoming links to a post then that particular post will only feature in Google's search engine result page for no longer than 7 days. The amount of days also depends on the keyword competitiveness... I hope that answers your question.

On after thought I should right more about SERPs, keep a watchful eye on forthcoming posts!
