WebGrowth rated #2 best SEO company in South Africa
A very informative article was written by SEO Samurai. The author did a search for the term “SEO” in Google.co.za and found the top five SEO companies, WebGrowth being one of them. He then ran the urls through a type of website grader, which ranks your website out of 100 from a SEO perspective. WebGrowth came out second on the list and he had some encouraging words to say about us.
A beautifully optimized site with very little wrong with it. Keyword density is excellent throughout the various areas of the site, and I’m sure in a few months this site will be ranking number 1 on Google. They could increase the content on their site, as well as increasing the number of quality backlinks.
The fact that we need more content is a concern of ours but we are continuously challenging ourselves to improve this area. We do have a seo contributing section for interested bloggers who want to hone their seo and online marketing skills. We’ve made this space available as we would like to uplift the SEO community so we can compete on a world stage. Currently, South Africa as a whole is well behind the US and UK.
We can all learn a lesson in what SEO Samurai has done. What must be said is a small, relatively unknown SEO consultant who wrote an article about his competition. Most business owners would never applaud this idea but in the world of online, sharing the ‘link love’ is what its all about if you want to get noticed. So in parting, writing about your competition or industry related companies is something we endorse completely and is a great way to get conversation going.

Congrats Neil – that’s an excellent achievement. I suspect they were using Hubspot’s Website Grader – its a great tool.
Keep up the good work.

The review on SEOsamurai is based on the stats/opinions of the software that he used, he is not forming his own opinion based on his experience as the title might suggest to most people. Each company has their own techniques of ranking, its a fact in the industry that if you had a secret to rank well on Google, you do not share it, so i’m not sure of his motive fully.
Again, every SEO company has their own techniques. That article is outdated, it should be updated at least every three months, this shows how little this guy has proved in regards to his company in the SEO industry.
Because it is outdated, the information is inaccurate, the article should be removed completely or updated, you should not be supporting this guy. Even though you are supporting his company, your site is displayed inaccurately in the SERPs in the month of December 2011 when compared to the article.

Hi Theo
Thanks for your comments.
Unfortunately the very nature of blog posts becoming dated is part and parcel of their success over the past few years. Everyone can see when this is published because it has the post meta information. Everyone has the opportunity to give their thoughts and opinions, we enjoyed their blog post and so we gave them kudos for it.
Thanks for reading
Theo
